You're kind of making my point for me. LSD > 1 wheel spinning.

My car - 997.1 didn't even have the option from the factory IIRC. I realize that it is something I can add via the aftermarket and it's available on the 997.2 but if this car were optimized for traction - they should all have it standard- kind of like the S2000.

Its sad actually...a lowly Mustang GT that starts at 27k has a LSD. The ROTW cars had this as an option even for the Mk.I 997's and it was a no cost option at that.

don't mustangs have live axles???

if you want to get rid of wheel hop. get solid mounts/bushings. changing tires helps a little bit but that get's rid of it for sure.

it's a big problem on 90-96 300zx's. get the hard rubber mounts or get solid mounts and that gets rid of it.

Can't say I have a solution for you as I myself would like to know. I tried once and my C4 hops as well and my tires are brand new. Wheel hop is very bad for the drivetrain as the load unload is like hammer blows...

Lowering the rear tire pressure to around 30-32 might help as the factory settings are way too high for drag. Haven't tried it myself and I don't believe I ever will. Don't want to break anyting.

Current Mustang do have live axles, but 99-04 SVT Cobras did have a IRS with a LSD. The point is a 80K+ sports car should have a LSD as standard equipment.
