997.2 PCM 3.0 Navigation Module

Hi guys-

I bought one of the white launch vehicles right after they came out, and aside from PDK, the car is pretty sparsely optioned.

I was wondering if any of you have heard anything pertaining to the availability of the retrofit navigation module. Dealer says that it was supposed to be out by now, but still have not heard anything.

Thoughts are appreciated here....
Thanks

Congrats on the car... what are the option codes you have? Have you checked with Brian @ Carlsen? They'll probably know by now... They've been out for a bit although I'd expect a retrofit to be pricey!

I heard from my dealer that the nav retrofit for the 997.2 was supposed to be just a drop in module. Presumably, it shouldn't cost more than the NAV option for the car as a configured option at factory build. Maybe a little for the install, but I think the car is designed to take the nav as a retrofit module, so it should be really easy install.

I think the dealers will probably order most 997.2 cars without nav as a default to keep the price down a bit, and then just drop in the module as customers want.

That same design is/was true for the 997.1's as well. As a matter of fact, I have an unused module/kit for a .1 Carrera 4(S) if anyone is interested.
Note: the module/kit is subtly different and not interchangeable for the RWD versus AWD cars. At least for the .1's. (Don't ask me how I know...)
