Wind Deflector broke...is it covered under warranty?

Had the top down today and I hear sort of a snap. The wind deflector for my cab had snapped where it fold near the top.

Is this warranty work? Or am I just sh*t out of luck?

If you broke it when folding it, I expect it isn't covered. If it broke from wind, I'd try for warranty replacement. Nothing to lose by asking.

I'm quite certain it's covered. Like all incidents, it's all about causal factors, but the mesh started to separate from the frame in one corner and it was repaired at no cost. Should be a no-brainer.
Separately, when the driver or passenger seat is pushed all the way back with the deflector in place, the end of the hinge of the deflector pushes in to the cloth tonnea part (or some such) and can erode the material. That was not covered with the justification as misuse. My perspective is that the design of the car should preclude that from happening. But no such luck.
In general, I've been very happy with my dealers support (Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City), so I took it no further.
Good luck.

Then I would push hard for a warranty replacement. However, they may argue that it must have been damaged in the installation/removal process by someone.

The wind deflector design is defective. If the seat is placed all the way back and/or reclined, it interferes with the deflector. It makes the wind deflector useless for tall drivers. Porsche is aware of this and, apparently, has elected to do nothing to correct the problem. This is a well known issue and has been discussed on various forums.
