HID fog color

So I have some extra HID ballasts lying around and want to try putting some HIDs in my fogs. What should I do on a white 997, gt3 front, yellow seatbelts, breaks, etc. Color match hid or go with 3000k fogs?

Be careful it could melt the wires.

+1, the wires may not be heavy enough to carry the load to power the HID's.

I wanted to do it on my Touareg, and the Tech that I know well at the local VW dealer warned me about it. He has seen huge bills to replace wire harnesses after they have melted.

If you want brighter lights, try Hoen or PIAA, they have colour matched bulbs.

YseanY is infamous around these parts
i believe there is definitely a chance of melting wires as the load of the ballasts are a lot higher than 35w when it turns on. also, melted housing might be another issue.

but i have tried this on a mini cooper, bmw, and audi in the past without any problems
