Pulled the trigger today...WOOOOHOOOO :)
yeah the salesman told me that the C2 guys usually order the rear wiper cause it gives the rear of the car a turbo look and i have to agree. dont need it but it looks cool.
thanks guys. love this forum. iv been working the search button to death.
Godwilling, i will post pics in about a week. i sent you a pm. i had to haggle, but they told me from the start they would work with me.
he wrote a # on a business card and laid it face down. then he said, what do you want to offer. i asked to see the card but he said nope, you first.
i told him a number a few k lower than asking price. he turned the card face up and we were only off by 1k.
i was really relieved. i said ok, lets meet half way on the 1k.
he went and talked to someone and came back and said listen, im sorry but the card price cant be lowered more even though its just 500 bucks.
i said no problem. its about the best deal they had in the whole dealership and i will have 3 full years of warranty which a lot of the cars on their lot didnt.
he said the cpo is a big plus and i agree.
what sped up the process for me was finding a buyer for my z quickly. otherwise i might have been waiting for as long as it took to take care of that.
i have paid cash for every car i have purchased and i usually sell my cars private party. this made the deal that much cleaner and easier.

I did use it once in a heavy summer Florida thunderstorm and it does clean the rear window at a red light . It was kinda entertaining having all the wipers running at the same time.
[QUOTE][10k miles. car looks new. nothing like my 15k mile Z06/QUOTE]
It sounds ideal . It's enough miles to have gotten you both a good price and a lightly driven car . I wish you the best . Driving your first Porsche home is a very special experience . I actually take pictures of it these days .

thanks guys . clear markers? why? with silver it might not even show and blend into the paint?
i had this car and another 06 C2S with under 4k miles to choose from. the other car had a bose high end as its only option. nothing else and it was 500 more.
i sacrificed on the 6k miles to get the options. once i saw the full leather, there was no turning back.
they said 70% of their business is out of state. probably even more so for their used cars. im glad im only 27 miles away. didnt realize people from CA to IL would buy their cars from there.
they moved several miles away to a new facility 4 or 5 years ago. they used to be in a tight location in a upscale neighborhood off of oaklawn. (down the street from pres Bush's new diggs)
now they are a shining beakon in a run down warehouse district south of love field.
approaching the dealership (the roads are horrible around there), i found it quite striking to see high end cars driving around against this back drop. they house porsche, MB, and bently. they needed more space and they got it. the facility is top notch

The amber markers contrast the paint and are only on US spec cars .
Since mine only have had clears upon my request I will give an example with somone elses car to make the point.
In the first photo the car has the amber markers .
The second does not .
On a silver car it makes a huge aesthetic difference but even on the red car its very noticeable.
