What do you think of red guages?

What do you think of red guages? For example,

I thought that they might be neat, but I'm really not liking them in that photo.

BTW, anyone know how much it would cost to swap for different color guages on a 997? Do you have to get the whole cluster swapped or can the dealer just swap out the dial faces?

Personally I don't think that they look very good.

I have the black gauges and am very happy with how they look at night and day.

depends

I had black and wanted silver... dealer wanted 2K for the cluster then 200+ for install and reprogram of accurate mileage....

I bought new OEM in box, silver full new cluster on ebay, 350, brought to dealer and had them swap and re-program and then sold my old black gauge cluster for 350.... on ebay... total job few hundred dollars....only one thing, see if you can catch it in the pic.... hint, sport Chrono... I actually like it....

Jason,

I was going to say in my original post that I thought the best application for red gauges is on a red car. I see you also have the instrument surround in red. I think it works pretty well there.

Likewise, I think yellow gagues on a yellow car would be good.

I think they look good... in a red car. Agree that they look out of place on the 4s the OP listed. I tried to find that car on their website and couldn't... must have sold. The front plate immediately scared me after what has happened to others on this forum

Check this one out....

I think it works with this gt3.

Both red and yellow appeal to me but I think it depends upon the vehicle's exterior color.

Most of the one's I sell for Ferrari's are yellow but I do sell a few red ones.

The red seems to sell more in the Middle East.
