Techart Type III rear wing install

For those who have one of these or have successfully researched.
  • Does the wing "bolt on" or is drilling required? Their website says "mounts on standard rear lid" but the picture looks like they replaced the rear lid.
  • Do I have to disable the powered stock wing? or does the Type III power up and down?
  • Is a replacement front bumper required for this type of rear wing?
Any pictures would be great.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I could not find with search function. And, if not, the next person looking will find this one.

Thanks

You will have to disable the lid so it doesn't raise and lower. SunCoast sells the harness that you'll need for that, but the dealer will likely have to deactive the dashboard warning light.

No front bumper is necessary, but it's recommended if you're going to be doing extreme speeds regularly.

Bolts on existing rear lid
Its a fixed wing and you need to disable power up / down
You need to disable the warning light
Front bumper not required but ads a great look and good aerodynamics

Thanks guys, that's what I was looking for. I am going to have the dealer do the install. I just wanted to know how it all worked. Thanks

You both mention a front bumper is not necessary unless running at high speeds. Mostly look..

hjacobs2000: Your using a front spoiler on you black cab. Do you have "front" pictures of your car?
