Has anyone priced out a new seat - gathering all the parts etc? I sent a couple emails out to vendors, but no replies yet. Since I only need the driver's side, it may cost the same as dealing with a swap with someone else for both seats.. then I dont have a used seat and can keep my original seats. Just a thought... I know oyu have to buy each bolt/part.. someone must have priced this out already..

Ad Sport Seats Install

Here is the final result. The only sacrifice is the memory seat function. I can have this rectified with a transfer of my memory unit off my original comfort seats plus all new seat motors that have built in actuators for memory recall... (additional $500-600 to install). Everything on these seats work except the heated seat function which I did not have originally. There is a significant improvement in the look of the interior.

Thanks to the guys at www.championmotorsport.com/ who in my experience are always thorough and very professional.

1st pic shows Ad Sport Seats installed
2nd pic shows light grey original comfort seats (sorry did not have an interior pic).

Its interesting that the memory function is not compatible.. Perhaps if Porsche made more compatible parts, their prices would go down! Thanks for the writeup/pics.

The memory function would have worked if the Ad Sport Seats were memory seats..that is if the driver seat had the control box and special motors with the actuators. Since I am the only driver 99.9% of the time I do not think the memory function would be missed, but nice to have.

When purchasing seats you may want to determine these compatibility issues vs availability/choice. The trade off was worth it to me.

I sat in the Carbon Fiber Sport Seat and did like the look but they were too restrictive for daily use and they do not recline. The weight saving is significant. The Ad Sport Seats are heavier even compared to the Comfort Seats.
