flashing ecu back to stock?

I have an '08 911 S with the softronic ecu flash. I also had sport mode activated with the flash since my car didnt have that option. I recently flashed my car back to stock (sport mode off) but it feels exactly the same. Does it need to be driven a certain amount before the original program takes effect? Or could this be in my head?

The sport mode throttle map is much different, you would definitely feel it if they had enabled that option.

Maybe they just enabled the harder rev limiter and fuel cut maps. I guess you can hit the redline and see if it is the soft cut which is normal mode or the hard cut which would be the sport mode.

i do remember it being a little more touchy, but i flashed it back and it still seems touchy. As far as the rev limiter goes, ive never heard of softronic modifying the rev limiter

Yeah, the rev limiter is up about 300 RPMs, I believe. PM Scott Slausen (Marine 351@aol.com, I think) who will know the details immediately.
