Paint matching exterior parts

I searched the group and did not have any luck. Please excuse this post if already discussed.

I am shopping for a wing and maybe a front bumper. I am concerned the body shop will not be able to match the car color because of potential fading. Is this just a newbie fear or should I be looking for a particular procedure?

Any horror stories I should know about?

Thanks

FYI... I bought a speed yellow OEM turbo bumper that was original from the factory in 2003. My car is a 2002 carrera. The paint matched perfectly. It was scary!!!!!
Fast forward 1 year and I had a little fender bender and the insurance replaced the front turbo bumper for a new OEM that had to be painted. The shop in coral gables, that does all the body shop work for the Collection (Countach) did an AMAZING job. I'm soo happy!

Ok, I received my TechArt Wing III today and went to a shop recommended by my local dealer. Just as I thought there is a problem. Apparently there are 2 swatch options for speed yellow. The shop uses a company called Spies Hecker and they have 2 shades of yellow. He says the reason for the difference is that the manufacturer runs different formulas from factory to factory and when they run a string of yellow car then change to, lets say blue, then change back to yellow there can be a slight variation. I do not know if thats true but I am now confused.

Any ideas? should I look for a new shop or is this a normal problem and I am missing something?

Thanks.

They need to repaint it . There is no excuse for any body shop to mis match paint . It's up to them to stand behind their work and if a dealership recommended them then they ought to back you up on this .
