I just heard from my friend that he got a special lease for a brand new C2S for $1000 0 down for two years. Impossible right??

I read it wrong on first glance . It's zero down and 1K a month ? That sounds unlikely.

Well, the depreciation is probably close to that, so depending upon the money factor and residual, it's not CRAZY, but it's likely the best deal available.

BTW, this is simply a mathematical calculation - I can NOT back this up with any quote from a dealer or even any opinion from a person involved. It just seems to me that if you divide the value used by the months, you get a "principal" that must be covered. Add a little for interest and tax, and that should be a ballpark figure. YMMV (widely!?).

Does anyone know the residuals and Money factor now on '08s?

With dealers doing 20% off, its not a bad option! I'm looking for a used '06, but maybe leasing makes sense..

Porsche did have an incentive deal last month for select dealers that had the ability to knock almost 20% off a 36 month lease, so depending on how little that car was optioned out and what sale price they agreed on, it is possible he could have gotten close to $1k with zero down.

If it were a $90k sticker c2s and they gave him 10k off, with -0- down it would be $1044 for 3 years including (Calif) sales tax by my calculations, excluding any fees. This is assuming they didn't mark up the financing rate at all.

There aren't many $90k sticker c2s around, though.

For a 2-year lease to come in at under $1/mo on a 95k car, the residual would have to be over ~72% and mf would have to be under 4%. Again assuming they took 10k off the sticker.

I just factory ordered a 2009 911 4S with a stick of 112k;
I received 10k off; put 10k down and have a special 4%, 36 month lease;

Total monthly expense will be 1354$ incl tax

I just leased a 09 C2 with good options for about $1100 a month no down. 12000 miles 36 months. Residual was 57%. I got close to 10 % off the car. They gave me money on my 07 C2S trade in. I forget the exact money factor but they had a special. I compared the base C2 to C2S and C2 was better fit for me as a daily driver. Only big difference was PASM which I never used in my old car and more horse power. They increased the break size on the 09 C2 and it is same as my old C2S. Nav system is much improved compared to the last version. Overall I'm very happy with my new car.

I got the tip so my wife can drive the car too but she never drove it. MT is more enjoyable in a car like this and it's all mine. Future plan for the car is to get rid of the center muffler.
