Targa with new shoes

Since there aren't nearly as many Targas as other models, and since most Targa owners by nature tend to leave them pretty well stock, I thought I'd share photos of mine with the Champion RG5B wheels I purchased a year ago but never installed until today. I like the look with my GT Silver car, and I think the polished rims coordinate nicely with the car. The wheels sizes are: front: 19x8.5 with 53mm offset; rear: 19x11.5 with 62mm offset and 18mm spacers on my T4S. I previously had Carrera Sport wheels with GT silver spokes. They looked good, but I like these more.

BTW, I know it would look better lowered a little. That may be my next project (Bilsteins).

+1, I have been wondering about that for a year now.

When is your other mod going on? Stacy and I were talking about that today.

I originally bought them for my cab, but sold it before I got them on. Then I thought I'd put them on the Targa when the tires needed replacement. I had to get new spacers, as the factory spacers on my car don't work with the Champion wheels. Also decided to pick up another set of TPMS sensors for the new rims. My rears finally wore out, so I replaced them this weekend with a slightly used set from another local 6speeder, and put them on the new rims. I also moved my front tires to the new rims.

The next mod will likely be either lowering springs or Damptronics.

Many threads on the springs vs damptronics, I went with the damptronic coilovers, nice mod, the suspension went from day to night.

Great wheel choice .
I had Techart springs and now have Bilstein damptronics . I prefer the damptronics. The springs have this harder ride which IMO places more stress on the tires to grip whears the damtronics have just enough play to allow the suspension to do some of the work . They are not floaty like stock setup yet also have some comfort .

Do the Damptronics, I have had both springs and the Damptronics, huge difference.

Wheels look great Ken, glad you finally put them on.
