I got pulled over the other day for talking on my cell phone as I left my BT headset at home (I was actually at a light when I was talking). He issued me the ticket ($98.00) but he didn't cite me for not having a front license plate nor a rear plate. He told me he understood why I didn't have plates on the car to keep me from having to put on a front plate..some cops are cool. I think the issue is the fact you were doing 97+mph and this policeman just wanted to make sure you remember this ticket.

I thought first time offense cell phone tickets were $25 in California? Was this your first cell phone ticket? If so, it must be up to each local jurisdiction to access the level of fine? My wrong!

I personally think that even BT headset usage should be against the law while driving. Sure F1 and other competitive drivers use a two-way radio system but they are not (I think) putting on makeup, doing their nails, reading the paper, dealing w/ brain dead drivers, etc.

1st ticket..what get's me is that it was illegal to talk on your cell phone w/o a hands free device but it was OK to text up until New Years.

Use larger diameter screws after removing the bumper plugs, or can you thread the screws INTO the bumper plugs themselves after predrilling - assuming the bumper plugs don't offset the front plate bracket from the bumper?
