Does anyone have a set of used Eibach springs for the 997C2S that they want to sell to me?

hey guys, do yourself a favor and type in damptronic in the search bar.

you will find, as i did, nothing but regrets over swaping out springs. i'd suggest you read those threads before buying them.

several reported of going back to stock because the ride was harsh and bouncy.

That is usually with the H&R not the Eibach's. I have driven a TechArt (Eibach) equipped car, I thought it had very good manners..in fact not that far off from stock.

I had "bouncy" for the first few miles but every suspension installation has to settle in place . The sensation of damptronics is different than stock but it greatly improved . It will run circles around a stock car . It's more comfortable than springs too. I mated mine with Gt2 sway bars so it's a night and day difference .

Note true, coil overs are completely adjustable. I have mine set to ROW height, less then 1" drop.

I am sure that you can set it to the same height as your current OEM NA ride height.

Thanks for the update...from the vendor whom I talked to said the min drop was 1.25". I'm getting tempted now..

I believe they are the same..as Eibach uses the same part number for both non PASM and PASM as does TechArt. TechArt claims 15mm for cars with PASM and 25MM for cars without. Eibach rates the springs as a 1" drop (25mm). I can't confirm totally if they are the same part number though.

See if you can take someone's car for a spin that has them. It will be an easy decision once you try them. I have had them for a year now, and not one regret.

Any one who has driven my car, is surprised with how nice it is to drive in traffic in normal mode, and how awesome it is in sport mode when you want the car to perform.

i wasnt dissing the damptronics. just relaying what people were saying about a spring only experience.

you might want to check to make sure this is true. i used KW coil overs to lower my 03 viper and though they were adjustable, you couldn't set them to what ever height you wanted.

actually, the heighest allowable setting was a bit lower than what i wanted. i wanted about an inch drop and the heighest setting was 1.5"

verde has a blog and says he dropped it only 18mm. http://autopianviews.blogspot.com/ the thing is, with the viper, you could actually set it a little higher than what the instructions allowed but the system was not going to function as designed because of incorrect spring preload.

now the guys who are only dropping the car 20mm, i wonder if its actually within the allowable range or not. the instructions that come with the damptronics should clear this up for us

I can't find any specs from Bilstein, I would suggest contacting someone like Mike @ AWE, I am sure he has the info.

Here is a picture of my car, with the Bilstein Dampronics set to it's current height, also look at my Avatar. I think my car was lowered about 20mm (3/4 inch)

I have tracked my car with this set up, and put about 2000 miles on the track last year, no problems at all.

I have the Eibach and it filled the gap perfect, it also took away the slop and hop and made the ride a bit firmer but not much.

Check out Fab at Ef1 Motorsports (www.ef1motorsports.com) About $500 for CO's installed including a full laser alignment 1 week after installation. Very sharp guy who knows all about 996/997 cars and performance. Very nice facilities as well. Off 405 at Cherry Ave / Signal Hill exit in Long Beach.

He's done both my 996 and 997- Perfection each time (and hell of a good price).
