Thinking to mod 2009 C2 - Seeking suggestions on simplest & best value for money
I had the 997.1 C2S that was replaced with 997.2 C2 with PDK
Liking it so far...I have never really modded a Porsche before (have also owned Cayman & Cayenne) but itching to do something this time
I was thinking of cold air intake being the simplest mod which would be easily removable in case the car required any warranty repairs (i suppose they would not honor the warranty if they saw the aftermarket CAI)
Any suggestions on which is the best CAI for sound? power?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Biggest bang for the buck IMHO is an exhaust of your choice. Gives a nice throaty sound to the car with no warranty issues. CAI is fine but real world (discernable) horsepower gains are suspect.
As you may already know, there have been many discussions, and there is much disagreement, on what mods are good or bad for power etc. The cold air intake mod seems to mainly provide a little more noise without impacting power in any measurable way. I put a PSE and X51 headers on my 997.1 which provide the sound I like but no power gain. It seems you need high-flow cats to gain any power in the exhaust system, and these add to the sound level too.
It is possible to spend lots of money on air intake, exhaust systems, chips etc. but the sum total appears to be negligible with respect to measurable power gains. Most enthusiasts say you gain more from your car by taking driving instruction than you will be spending money on these mods, as the cars are aleady more capable than most of us can take advantage of.

hang in there
Hang in there strapping anything to your car engine until more comes out.... CAI, headers, exhaust, ecu, what ever. Sure EVO will be out with a air box soon, many used for the 996, 997 and like it. (I have it and very happy) If you have a hankering and need to mod maybe get some basic more cosmetic just to fill the fix...
B/M short shift (but see you have pdk so nope)
Yes clear markers
Crest valve stem caps
Bumperplugs lock color matched insert
Colored seat belts....
Swap from gold to silver from Porsche emblem
Wheels
Exhaust tips ceramic coated or other
V1 hardwired radar if you don't already have
Clear front Bra/shield 3m or other....
Carbon accent interior pieces?
That said, if you only want performance enhancing mods (totally understand) then disregard above...just thinking a small fix until other things come out and are proven maybe an option...
