That is a beautiful and unusual combo. Love the Makassar with the cocoa and macadamia. Congrats!

Macadamia with Cocoa and those turbo wheels is a great looking combo. Beautiful car.

I'm new to 6speedonline, and also just got my first 997.

Here are a few pix of my new frog.

Seal Gray with Stone Gray interior and top.

Good times.

Beautiful car, I like the tail. I've been debating over if I should add one.

TT Tail

MRPANTHER, we put a complete rear decklid with functioning hydraulics from a TT on my wife's 997.1 C2S. If you want to go this route, you have to change out the OEM airbox for either a K&N intake or an EVOMS intake to allow room at the sides of the engine compartment for the hydraulics to fit when the decklid is closed. Here are a few pics.

kkswow12 - I haven't seen it raised myself. As I am totally new to the Porsche, I am still learning a lot about how everything works. (long time BMW M Roadster guy here) I haven't been behind the car to see if it goes up automatically at speed, and it doesn't seem to do anything when I hit the button at home. Maybe it's disabled with the fin?

I wrote to the previous owner to ask about it, but haven't heard back yet. I suppose I still have noob written on my forehead, but I'm a quick study. If I figure out how to make the fin activate, I'll definitely post a photo. I'm still trying to learn my way around the car, and this forum. It's similar in someways, but very different in others to bimmerforums, where I've been hanging out for years. To keep with the PHOTO nature of this thread, I'll post another:

lazyseoul - I didn't have front plates on mine either, but then I got this fuzzy wuzzy stuck to my tail on Sunday morning...

Interesting to note: The cop car didn't have a front plate either. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (or whatever).

kswow12 - I heard back from the PO, and the fin is fixed, it doesn't go up and down, so the profile is what you see.

If you're interested, it's the TechArt Type III Wing, from sharkwerks. (*linked)

It's really grown on me, my only reservation is that it does slow your hands down on the nice curve on the hips when you're waxing or buffing the car.

Probably looks even better on a coupe.
