997S Cab with GT3 Bumper
Verde,
Thank you for your effort. Hmmm, hard to tell. If you don't mind PM me or put in on here from your iPhone, that would be a tremendous help.

I find this rather oblique, and I ended up asking the tech at my dealer to show me, but here is a (slightly sloppy) scan of a manual showing the measuring points. If this doesn't do it for you, I also have a few photos from my iPhone. I'll also dig up the chart that compares a few different specs (including the GT3) if you're interested - all based on these measuring benchmarks.
OK, here is the next installment. If this is not sufficient, and I doubt that it is, I'll try to create a illustration technique later today. I have to jack the car up anyway to get some WD-40 on the muffler fittings (see below). Like I said, it's simple once you see it all in context, hard when seen in isolation (photos are front and rear respectively).
Thanks redhotmurc33. And I am just pacing myself stardoc on the rear wing. I just purchased a used set of Fabspeed mufflers and so I'm on a spending hold for a while.
And thanks for the photo with the screens OC PCar. Did you construct them yourself, or did you purchase them. If the latter, from whom?

Thanks. I'm not sure I'm a skirt kinda' guy
Seriously, many look just a bit odd to me. The ones with the swoopy curves on them don't match the lines of the rest of the car. OTOH, do they do much for performance or are they there for appearance?
I'm with you on the wing though.

That's perfect! So, this is the measuring point to the ground? Rep point for you

I believe mostly appearance on the skirts but have seen many advise agianst putting on a GT3 front bumper without a wing to balance out the aerodynamics. My skirts are factory Carrera skirts with factory Carrera wing and turbo front bumper. To me the skirts create a better line from the lowered front bumper to the rear. I agree that I have seen some after market skirts that get to swoopy and agreesive and to me look a little off. Does Porsche make different skirts GT3? If so that mey be a good option along with a GT3 replica wing since they do not offer one for a cab.
I've read about the aero-balance thing. Also have read (and suspect) that, though relevant, it's really for high/track speeds. I don't much do that yet, but intend to add one some day. Both for appearance and the driving option. I'm getting more excited about spending some time at the track. The visceral karting memories are slowly reappearing.
And I've got nothing to add on the side skirts. Don't know much about them. If there were plain ones that lowered the side panels, in theory capturing a bit of air under the body, I'd have a look. Shades of Jim Hall (!). But the ones with the curved flow lines don't work for me.

Verde,
Isn't your S Cab a wide body? Or does that only pertains to the 4/4S? Reason why I ask is the GT2 side skirts can be an option for your cab if it's a wide-body.
