Nav question

I hit a button on the nav unit, and now the map doesn't follow the car/arrow. The map is stuck on the part of town where I hit the button. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Nick

Try hitting the map button and see if it releases.

Ahh, I ran in to a problem much like this a while ago. I was apparently stuck in the SF financial district for weeks!
I was stumped and thought the nav had broken. A fellow 6'er gave me the tip that I accidentally locked it on that point. To 'free' it, while in the root nav menu, hit the 'set' button and work your way through the menus. I don't have the original note at hand, but it was straightforward.
PM me if you need more help.

I had a similar problem and was told to pull the nav DVD out for a min or two to reboot the unit. Unfortunately, my problem was more serious and had to go into the dealer to get repaired.

Just wanted to let you know the fix. I fixed it in traffic yesterday by hitting the Factory Settings button under the Set menu. The mapping immediately started tracking my car at the right coordinates.

Hope this helps someone.

Nick
