Forgestar wheels for 997...
i have these wheels and am happy with them. they seem to hold up well under daily driving. no track time. Stock lugs do not work. for the price they are great. no complaints and always get compliments on them.
Go to Suncoast Porsche or Bert Smith and pick up 10 lug bolts for a Carrera S.
I actually have 2 complete sets of lug bolts...both stock Porsche but 1 set for the track with out the lug lock bolt and 1 set for the street wheels.

Dog, make sure the wheels you get are set up for Porsche lug bolts. For track wheels I'd stay away for wheels that need a hubcentric ring. Get wheels made for you car. Also stock lugs may not work because you have spacers on your rear wheels and you have the longer lug bolts. See the red ring around the seat of the lug bolt? those are to be used with spacers. Your front lug bolts will be fine.

I do not think the length of my lug bolts is a concern with any wheel I choose as long as I leave the spacer on. John at CCW said even his GT3 wheels are designed to leave the spacer in place and use the factory lug bolts. Otherwise I would have to have two sets of bolts. Well, at least two sets of rears.
From what I heard, it has more to do with the shape of the lug bolt and the fact that the porsche lug bolt doesn't fit into the forgetstar opening.
I'm pretty certain at this point you do not need hubcentric rings for the Forgetstar wheels on the porsche.
i believe they use hubcentric rings. installer mentioned it to me. the stock lugs dont fit because the ball seat is too wide in diameter. just bbought a regular set online with the specs that forgestar have me and they worked fine.
The Forgestars need the hubcentric ring (included with the wheels), as the centers are a generic universal style size, and you use the hub-rings to fit the car they are going on after Forgestar "builds" and drills the wheels for your bolt pattern. For Porsches, i believe they make the rings for our 71.6mm (if i remember correctly) hub.
The bolts on the oem wheels are ball-seat style wheel bolts, and the ones to use with the Forgestar wheels are a tapered cone seat (as used with many aftermarket wheels).
I had to look into this as well, since I'm looking into a set of F14s as well.

So what lugs did you use and where did you get them? Why is it that the stock lugs don't work?
You need to run 14x1.5 Conical Seat Lug Nuts - a very standard lug nut that's used with aftermarket wheels on Porsches.
Any did they require any hubcentric rings or do they just bolt right up?

Not really....it takes about 10 minutes of your time. The reason for this is so that the Forgestar Wheels are offered to a wide variety of customers. This is the only Flow Formed Cast wheel that's on the market that can be customized for your Porsche and then have the same design customized for your Ferrari.
Good info to know, I too am looking to purchase these wheels as well.

iForged Performance Wheels is the parent company of Forgestar. They've been in the wheel business for a long time and have been recognized by SEMA as one of the leaders in the industry.
