CRspotless water system

all I can say is wow. I bought this at Costco last night with some heavy skepticism because I have a black car but everything that I had read was positive and I figured if it really worked, then it would save me a lot of time and prevent a lot of potential swirl marks on my car from buffing it dry. Shockingly, it worked and no water spots! Pretty good price too.

I've had the smaller wall mounted CR Spotless unit for close to 2 years now. It was 'inherited' from a buddy. I've never simply let the water dry or evaporate after a wash for fear of spotting. I dry w/ waffle style detailing towels. I too have a black car and don't want to deal with water spots so I've always hand dried the car (even w/ the CR Spotless). BTW: I change the resin on a regular basis so it should be working as advertized.

I suppose I should give it a fair test by letting the standing water dry up on the painted surface. I need to re-wax the car anyway so if it does spot it'll just make me wax it sooner.

Do you simply wash & rinse w/ the CR Spotless water and then walk away and let it 'naturally' dry? I do notice some water 'deposits' or spots when water escapes from seams or door gasketing after the car is dried which makes me wonder how 'CR Spotless' the process is. The water might have 'picked' up dirt or road debris from those crevasses which contaminate it anyway.

I just tried it once to see if it would work so I really don't have a set routine. Last night around 5, I washed the car, gave it a good rinse with the CR then pulled the car into the garage and went out to dinner. When I got home last night, the car was partially dry and no water spots. The manufacturer claims that it will be spotless when the meter reads less than 20 ppm or whatever the scale is. I was using new resin so undoubtedly this will probably be the best result I can hope for.

I have the CRspotless and it does work as advertised as long as you make sure to rinse all the soap off and have no left over dirt on the car (obviously). I hook mine up to a pressure washer so it uses less volume of water to save resin life. It also makes the job of soaping up the car a breeze.

Got mine last weekend. Washed two cars with the pressure washer hooked to the system and thoroughly rinsed both using the CRspotless water. After air drying, no spots! Works as advertised!
