The whole passenger side airbag is a dealer installable item. Basically, they install a keyswitch to activate / bypass the airbag, and then this light comes on in the center console.
While I like the idea of the bypass....I HATE the light up deal. I wonder if you could have the key activated bypass installed, but NOT the light up gizmo?

Take the light bulb out if you don't want the air bag off light on all the time.
