cfos is infamous around these parts
Yeah, I may be a little frustrated, but the time spent making a few calls is ok. I mean I dropped it off and had 2 days of test driving a Cayenne S with their gas and a fresh car wash on my car. I suppose I can spare one more drop off after they confirm they get the refresh. Nothing against Suncoast or spending $12, just posting my experience. Take it for what it is.

Update: Dropped my car back off this morning. No loaner was available today, so the dealership rented me an Xterra from Enterprise (they only had this available or a Jeep). Just called now (afternoon) to check on it and the update was completed. I was also informed that there were 2 recalls of the 997.2 and they are taking care of the them. I asked what they were and the guy wasn't very descriptive -- he said something about a 903 and a 914 (maybe?). I'll see what they say they were when I pick it up in another hour or so.

Recalls -- if you can call it that: An A/C charge and a part -- clip/clasp for the exhaust. Part had to be ordered. The Update seemed to fix the phone dropping issue. Will have to bring it back for the part.

Has anybody been ever experienced a speaker making a clicking noise (more like a tap) from time to time? I have PCM 3.0 and think it has something do due with the head unit and the bluetooth system as it only happens when its connected to my iPhone. I probably hear the clicking noise up to ten times an hour. It can get very annoying--anybody have any ideas or maybe experienced it before and were able to solve the problem somehow (I'd rather not have to take the car in to the dealership for a third time in a month if I can avoid it)? Thanks!

Now that you mention it .. I believe I've heard a pop sound like it is coming from rear right passenger speaker. Since I don't have a iPod, probably not root cause for me.

I'd not call those recalls. A 'recall' has a very specific meaning and is accompanied by a special letter sent to the owner motivating them to bring the car in.. usually always for safety critical issues.

These things are probably TSB (Technical Service Bulletins) .. or whatever Porsche's term for the things are.. notices to dealerships to check/do things on cars for particular issues.
