I am looking on ebay and found these tips. I am a little hesitant as they are so cheap for apparently OEM "S" tips. Also there are two sets for sale from the same seller for exactly the same tips, one listed for $99 and the other $125. Does this look like a safe bet?

hi jon... well they're either real or very good copies but hard to tell exactly from the pix... They've even used Porsche boxes

 

Check their return policy at their store. Not sure, but I think that the muffler outlet pipe diameter is a little smaller on base 911 so you might need to fabricate a little filler piece.

btw in the add i only see the pass side tip.. do they have sep auction for driver side?

 

I'm with you. Looks like it's just one side. The poor english in the description doesn't help, but it does say "What you see is what you get"... I'd assume that means, in this case, the right side exhaust tip...

I just got a pair of Fabspeed tips and am going to install them this weekend. If all works out, I'll have a set of lightly used chrome tips (I promise you they're factory Porsche tips!) that I'll let go at a fair price. PM me if you're interested..

 

I got both sides OEM 997S chrome ones for $79 on ebay.... They looked like brand new.
Seems like a good price for the 2 sides.
