Life after my 997S
I would say get Audi S5. It really is a classy car, maybe a little big and heavy but it looks beautiful. But I would suggest you to buy a used one with the V8 engine, Audi changed it to V6 twin turbo charged... Which sucks I think. I would rather get a naturally aspirated V8 to a TT V6... A naturally aspirated engine is simply too much different.
Anyways, that is the car that I would go with. The rest of them do not even compare in quality and class...

After reading 3 pages of threads, I was surprised that nobody suggested buying a 996.
For less than 30K, a 996 is the closest driving experience to a 997. I think for todays price, 996 is the most under-appreciated Porsche out there. Afterall, it is a true 911!

The good news is the used market is continuing to drop, so in a short time you can go shopping again for another version, and probably come out even it fortunes are reversed.
Good luck

Out of all the cars on your list - I'd go with the S5. One of the best looking cars on the road today inside and out. Fantastic sound w/ the V8 and a catback.
No interest in a crazy turbo car like the STi or Evo - I guess I am too old for that look/feel of a very fast car (when modded) with a super cheap interior.
I'm in agreement with those who advocate modding the S2000 to fit you. Rails and perhaps a new seat are all you'll need for starters. The utter lack of low end torque sucks - but zinging the car from 6,000 RPM to 9,000 RPM is really fun.
I love my S2000 and have kept it even after getting my C2S. It's a different brand of fun.
To the OP: I noticed that you are in Seattle. The S2000 club meets weekly in Bellevue. It's a great bunch of people and a great resource for owners. PM me if you want details.
Gl on the search.

for some reason I always thought it was turbo charged, but still I like naturally aspirated engines
