The car I am looking at buying has lobster fork rims. How much can I expect to pay for the turbo rims that fit the C4s?

Does anyone know what they weigh? I may go the lightweight rim route depending on the prices.

 

What color is the car? Painted lobster rims can look pretty good, pending on the color combos.

You might try calling around to dealers in driving distance of you and asking if they have any "take offs" from other customers getting turbo cars.

 

My wheel file says Turbos weigh about same as Lobsters.

 

Thanks for the input. That would imply a 7 pound difference bewtween the Champions or HRE's as compared to the stock Porsche rims. I wonder if you would feel the difference in performance in day to day driving of 7 lbs a wheel.

 

I took my four Turbo wheels off my 997 Turbo the first month I had the car . They sit in my garage and I haven't sold them but placed them up for sale (local pickup only) thinking I might get 2K . I really dislike the wheels . They are fairly decent quality and are a forged BBS wheel from what i read on the Turbo forum yet aesthetically they look more Corvette like for my taste. I think the Hre and Champion wheels are both outstanding . If you must go OEM I like the Gt3 RS wheels in silver .
