No Nav in cluster display - any ideas?

Hi folks - I have a simple but perplexing issue with my new-to-me '05 C2S.

The car has nav, and the later PCM (two upper corner phone buttons). Upon delivery 2 weeks ago, the PCM had software version 2.1 I had my local dealer update me to the latest, and when I picked the car up today, it had been bumped up to 3.0 with a newer nav DVD.

My issue is that I'm unable to use the SET>DISPLAY function to display nav directions in the binnacle display. My options when accessing the display submenu are : Dist. Remaining, Audio, or Empty. I've been through each screen on the PCM (via the Set button) to see if this needs to be enabled and no luck. I've been through the SET submenus a hundred times and nothing is there. The manual seems to indicate that it should just work if you have nav.

Is there something unique about my situation perhaps or am I missing an option someplace?

It's not imperative that this feature work, but it bothers me not having something working as intended I suppose.

Thanks for any tips!

I would call the dealer, they might need to program it with the PIWIS.

I wondered if perhaps the cluster ECU needed to be updated, but assumed they would do so as part of the PCM update process.

Though why it wasn't working before either is odd to me.

Theory : if the previous owner added navigation after the fact, would that potentially be an issue? Perhaps the car doesn't even know it has nav if that makes sense.

Did you have the NAV info in the cluster area before the upgrade? If so, it should still work the same. I upgraded my NAV to 3.0 w/ the latest NAV DVD a few months ago and it shows NAV info (ie. arrows & distance bars) in the cluster.

Have your dealer's service tech look at it.
