Will 996 GT3 wheels fit on 997 C2?

My boss has acquired a 997 C2 and is interested in purchasing a set of 996 GT3 wheels for the car. We've calculated the offsets and although the rears will work, we're worried that the fronts may poke out too much for his taste.

Below I have provided the factory wheel specs as well as the GT3 specs.

Factory
18x8 et 50
18x10 et 65

GT3
18x8.5 40
18x11 et 63

What are your thoughts? Any advice/opinions are greatly appreciated.

Fronts will extend 16mm more than Factory - some would say that's OK - personally I think it's too much. I'd be concerend about the rear inner clearance though - it will be 11mm less.
