Hi Everyone,

I'm considering a 997.2 rear tail light mod to my 2008 997.1. I understand that since my 997 is 2008, I only need the OEM LED Tail Lights and the harness adapter, but NOT the control unit. Can someone confirm that this is the case?

I've been reading on another thread with some people with warning lights being triggered and trunk lights not going off - are these issues with those who needed the control unit as well? Can anyone provide some feedback if they've tried the rear LED upgrade without the control unit?

Finally, I'm curious if the 2009 997.2 C4S bumper snaps right into place on a 2008 997.1 C4S (assuming you have the 2009 LED rear lights). I've heard from one body mod shop that the OEM 09 997.2 carrera or carrera S snaps right in, but I can't seem to find anyone to provide me that confirmation for the C4S. The reflector is potentially a complication? I don't know if that's built into the bumper or if it's in the body work above the bumper and below the engine compartment lid.
