Here's a back end shot. Like I said on my previous post, I just don't think any wing I've ever seen looks good on the back of a Cabrio. If you really want to add something back here, change out the rear bumper or add a diffuser.

I think exterior color makes a difference (especially for wheels) on exterior additions. For example, I think if I had a silver or white car, I never would have gone for the TechArt side skirts as I think they would stand out a bit to much.

The wide body has such a presence that it can absorb a more busy design . Plus with a cab when the top is down the visual effect centers around only the lower portion. Big 20 In wheels or busy designs on a smaller narrow body seems over the top for me.

I happen to agree with you on the P43 and Rs171 . Tough choice . They are lighter than the Techart and being forged they are stronger too. Maybe I just see a c2 cab and reflect on the traditional appeal of the base car and that's why i picked a timeless and more conservative wheel.

Joe --car looks great. I am on the fence with placing a wing on the cab . Once I did see a C4S cab with the same Gt3 front as yours and the Techart type 1 (small ) rear spoiler (like on Sharky's 997.2 ) . The small spoiler seems to spark some opinion controversy on the forum but I like it . It adds just enough to the c4s cab without going into bling . However .. even clean like the way yours is looks great too . It's justa matter of taste. Here's a pic on a black cab . This looks real nice.

BTW .. Brushed Rocks !!!

Larry, is that a narrow body in the TechArt pic above? If so, yeah, I'm ok with the smaller wing. I just read to many people say that wing is to small on the wide body (something about being out of proportion). Those new TechArt wheels are really nice. Forged and was told they are pretty light.

I saw it on the widebody . I could not find a pic though . Notice that the side skirts on the narrow are as you described but that wing on the wide looks great too.

I'd pass on a spoiler for the back but if you do, I like the TechArt Type I (smallest one they make). I think it looks good on a narrow body but to small for my car.

Larry, any thoughts on major difference when styling a narrow body versus a wide body?
Heeeyyy!!! Don't underestimate our Narrow Body C2s... I have a C2S as well Joe

Haha, hey, I'm saying that if you have a narrow body, you can actually pull off the wing in the back better than I can

.....and than you'll have to spend more money as well

....ok, now get back from oversea's and stop cheating on your Adrianna

It's already hard to stay here, don't make it worse...

If only Miami was cooler... (temperature wise, not the city )

Here's forum member Porsch3's cab ,I do prefer 19's instead of 20's.

Are those 19" or 20"?
I'm looking for techart wheels but not sure which ones should get.
It will be used 99% for street so hope to get some 20s.
Anyway, anyone selling your techarts?

Definitely 20s, the tire profiles are too low...

Here's a pic of a C2S Cab with the GT3 front bumper that I almost bought but it got sold 12 hours before I could get back to the dealer. I really liked the look of this car. I agree that the more spoke style wheels such as the HRE P43 or RS171 looks really good on a narrow body (in this case, these are GP7's).

wings....

on a non cabrio a wing is needed, badly IMO.... on a Cabrio I would hold off on any wing but front end spoiler and side strake combo a must.

I would rather get a front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper on a cabrio. I personally don't like wings on a cabrio either. I don't like the TechArt wing that much, personally... I say put a nice body kit but leave the wing... You can go with the TechArt type 1 bodykit, it would look great on a convertible

T33 is infamous around these parts
Just a suggestion, why don't you do the mechanical mods first and wait for the 997.2 conversions to be available for the cosmetic part. I have read in this forum that someone has already done the 997.2 rear led lights conversion. Pretty soon the front 997.2 led conversion should be available. I like that fresh look of the 997.2.

Those are 20's and that's the one BIG (literally) flaw because they far more functional and adequately sized at 19 . I picked that car specifically to show that a simple traditional wheel loks great on a base cab .

Even if street use is the priority the 20's will give a harsher ride and eben more important change the driving dynamics of the car.
