997 S in 'Arrest Me Red'
997 S in 'Arrest Me Red'
Well, I got 'Arrest Me Red' from Leno himself while he was testing the new LP640 Roadster and called the color was, suitably, 'Arrest me Orange'
I think I've waited long enough for my first post and surely read almost every single thread
I learn something new everytime I read from the members and what a fantastic crew we've got here! So thank you all!
Well, I decided to share and welcome my new '07 997 S to my family, and I currently carry another '07 997 S in black with black rims and a black '07 Cayenne. Nowadays, I'm really starting to add a new classic to my garage, which is a '68 992 Targa in black, which looks like it could be a daily driver.
Here's a few photos I'd like to share while I was at a garage, and sorry about the amateur photos and bad lighting

Thank you for the warm welcome! It feels quite like home around here! I will try and take more photos of my cars soon for the forum and share my day to day experiences on how I approach my rides and how I feel about the overall experience and ownership which may or may not help new buyers or current holders but I will try and be useful

Welcome.
Welcome to the club. The color does attract attention of nearly every law enforcement agency I've come across.
We've even had troopers pull u-turns through the median grass to chase us down on the Taconic while going pretty close to the speed limit.
This was a bit too close for comfort - still though, I was able to snap the picture prior to having an uncomfortable conversation.

Congrats on the new Red! Before I pickup my 09'C4S, I had some hesitation. Now I love the color so much I would buy red again( & yellow too) It hides dirt really well too. Like others' recommendation, get yourself a radar/laser detector because the car does stick out like a sore thumb.

Gundo, that's fantastic !
I'm glad you didn't get into much trouble with the troopers ! Some of them are really cool, but some of them are really pfff. I guess its mostly about attitude and how you approach to the them
I had a little incident with an Orange Murcielago in winter in the city, on 5th, talking to my friend next to me and you know how loud it can be with a Tubi, and blew two lights one after another, and I knew I had to look behind me so they just pulled me over. And in the end, they let me go, no ticket, no slap on the wrist

Hey John, you are absolutely right about the color! It does get a lot of attention, even unwanted ones! I get no discomfort with my black cars, but driving a red Porsche, people always seem to get offended by it, I'm guessing it can be 'the Ferrari factor'. I used to drive italian cars, and everywhere I stop, people 'had' to ask me what I do for a living. That's mostly the reason why I'm looking for that black '68 912 Targa for a daily driver. It will be a nice little classic Porsche with all the heritage and characteristics. Time will show

Awesome car eat! Welcome to the 6!!!

Congrats, I just got my new 06 C2S too....guards red, even the same sport design wheels but mine are silver. I need to upgrade to the colored wheel crest, they look great on your car.
Are you going to tint the windows? I cant decide, and Im a little paranoid of getting the interior damaged if I use someone other than the expensive dealer.
