"Service in 28 miles" is indicated on the dash. 997 model. I currently have 51,000 miles. According to the owner's maintenance manual, service is usually at 20k, 40k 60k miles etc. So...What needs to be checked / serviced?

 

I think that "note" pops up yearly. You could take it into the dealer and have it reset. My '08 calls for service at 15k or yearly...whichever comes first.

A durametric device can shut turn the reminder off. It's just a yearly reminder. I believe service intervals changed from 20 to 10K for minor service from 07 to 08. I'd still do a service depending on how much you push your car (ie track versus daily).

 

If it is yearly, how does it know how many miles until you need to go for service...shouldn't it say service in xx days?
