Will probably drive to same local dyno to look at (absence of) changes after re-flash, if time permits.
If I were going to flash, I would do Softronic on these cars.

Enjoy it.

Thanks, it`s a pleasure to have discussion with you, I appreciate your politeness.

If my curiosity alone will cost me that softronic price with no actual gains - well, it is not the end of the world, I guess. I still hope it MAY fix that timing drop mid 5K area plus may be improve acceleration a bit from 3K to 5K rpm.
If not - well, then not.

p-cardriver is infamous around these parts
Best CAI is winter. At least here in Michigan. And a clean filter.

As for the intake, it was on my first 997 and I swapped it out to the new one. Doesn't do much but make some cool noise!
IIRC, the 3.6 headers are more like the X51 headers in design (better flowing) while the 3.8 headers look more restrictive. I think one of the Fabspeed videos showed the difference in looks anyway. If you can get your hands a parts catalog you can see the visual differences there too.

I'm pretty convinced that for NA cars, the best assumption to make is that no mod, short of supercharging, will add any power to the car whatsoever. A finer point would be no additional power that you could feel or measure.
Yes, at the margin, a full exhaust system with high-flow cats might blip your personal dyno (as opposed to a real dyno that can likely measure extremely small changes) but if you rule out the psychic value of more/better noise from intakes (e.g. EVOMS) and exhaust, you've really have nothing to gain.
Now, I completely rationalized this, totally enjoy the power of my car, and still installed Fabspeed mufflers and an EVOM. Why? Because it sounds great! But as evidenced by the fact that, independently, my son and I each stalled the car a few times after installing the EVOMS, I suspect it's putting our less low end torque. Who cares? It's a total hoot.
So go do it. But make sure you have your eyes (and ears) wide open.

Verde, I would have to agree, the net power gains are almost not existent. I will say that the LWFW does get to the peak power a lot quicker then the it did before. The headers allow the car do rev smoother as well. The best mod I have done to my car is taking it to the track and learning how to drive it better.

Just my 2 cents.
I took upper part of car apart to look at stock plenum, well, from what I know I am not that impressed. It could be done better.
RSS plenum looks nice but they are out of their minds to price it at $900.

Anyway, I looked inside filter box and was shocked - i think my car still runs on its original filter - its stamp says made 08.05.06 (my car made 06.06), dirty like hell, debris falling from it... So much about 'car was always serviced at dealer'.

Or may be, hell, it really was. Bastards.
