crap, flat tire do i need to replace both?

crap, flat tire do i need to replace both?

blew out a rear tire, couldn't be patched. Do I need to replace both rears now??

thanks, did a search but couldn't find answer!

depends on mileage. I usually replace in pairs unless the tire is relatively new and had a catastrophic event and the replacement is close enough in mileage as to not affect driving, handling, and even alignment

Always best to replace in pairs unless the other tire is only a few miles old.
