I took my 225 mile 09 S cpe PDK for a ride tonight and put on about 15 miles.

The car was up to full operating temp, oil temp was at 200, pulled in my garage which has a nice flat level floor and started the oil level measurement. What was odd is that it only counted down for 4 seconds and then showed that it was low by 1 bar. Did it again, same result. So... I waited about 15 seconds and did it again. This time it counted down for almost 1 minute before showing the level and this time it was full!

Can anyone with an 09 explain this?

 

The float is so sensitive . Pulling into the garage the cars momentum still has the fluids in motion for a few moments after you stop .

 

Do it again the next morning. It probably will show full again. Some of the oil has not yet drained into the sump if you do not wait long enough.
