Question regarding Red 997's

I know that Porsche is not know for red, and is mostly reserved for yellow, silver or black. But I absolutely love the red on the new 997's.

Just curious but does one have to custom order a red porche for it top be available at the dealer. Cuz i never see red 911's whereas boxsers have alot of red's.

Guards red is a standard color (at least on the 996s)...
Dealers never order red because it tends to depreciate more than other colors and is more difficult to sell

Its in the eye of the beholder....I can tell you it looks sweet in red and they are harder to find as you point out. This in my opinion would mean less competition come time to sell Case in point, I had a 2002 "Red" M5 in pristine condition that I sold in less than 2 weeks at nearly for what I was asking because of the color They're out there....

Nothing new about Guards Red
It's been offered for quite some time
Guards (Indian) Red 1973-1977
Guards Red 1986-2005

A Classic color!
