He is very approachable - I met him yesterday and he was kind to take a picture with me and sign my Vic Elford's Porsche High Performance Driving Handbook.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. For those of you that have been to Monterey for the entire week of festivities, can you give me an idea how difficult it is to get a hotel room and get into the main events? Monterey is one of my favorite places in California and while I have been there many times on business and to see the Pro AM at Pebble Beach
(few times years ago when it wasn't as heavily attended it is now) I have never been to Monterey for this and the other events that go on during the entire week in the area. Would love to hear from anyone who's been and can offer some advice on how best to enjoy the week and how much advanced planning is involved in setting up a trip like that.
