Well, you got 26k out of the second set, that's not bad. Very typical mileage of 10k miles per rear set. If they are wearing out from the middle, then you've over inflated them. If you question your tire wear, I'd also recommend an alignment, but your mileage is not really that atypical.

I have the same tires on my '08 C4S. When I had a flat (rear) at about 12,000 km., the wear on the other rear tire was less than 30% and so it didn't have to be replaced. My understanding is that the front tires will last about twice as long as the rear tires. Some of the experts here should be able to give you more specifics on this.

This is correct, most likely overinflated if wearing in the middle. Is it hot where you are? Check your pressure after a good drive on a hot day and see where you're at. As suggested, an alignment may help too if you're really concerned about it. Porsches eat tires, it's a known fact and probably the biggest maintenance expense.

Rear tire wear is routine on the 911 cars. You've actually done pretty well . as stated --middle wear = over inflated .
