Clear Bra Help
Clear Bra Help
I had some tree sap or something like that on my clear bra (the front bonnet section) that discolored a nickel sized area. I tried scrubbing it with a microfiber washing pad I use. It scratched the bra and now it has a noticeable scratched area on my hood. Has anyone had success removing scratches from a clear bra?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Don't laugh, but I heard that you can heat the clear bra up and minor swirls/scratches will fill-in. As for heating it up, I heard that you can leave your (dark-colored?) car in the hot sun or use a heat gun (VERY CAREFULLY) to do this.
It all depends on what type of film it is. With VentureShield you can heat it up if the scratches are small. 3M can actually be polished with a VERY fine polish. But from what it soudns like the film is probably beyond repair if you were scrubbing on it. I would have to seee it to know for sure. Got any pics?
It is best to always take it back to your installer. Pictures would give us a general idea of the extent of the damage, but it cannot replace an in-person assessment.
