I loved the targa in the 80s

Someone in Singapore (I think?) took a 997 coupe and cut the top to transform into a old school Targa, and it looked amazing! Perhaps someone can find that image and post it.

If you have the $$$, RUF can do one for you. The picture below happens to be an electric version called the Greenster but they can also do a gas version (though its called something other than Greenster...)

997 True Targa

Hallo Targa friends,

my name is Gerald and I´m the one who is building the true Targa again.
The base is a 997 convertible. We deliver a Carbon fiber Hardtop with a rear part with rear screen and roof parts. We don´t change anything on the convertible. Snap On and run !

How do you like it ?

Can you tell us what this cost approx. on a 997.1 cab?
