997.2 + x51 + pdk + lsd = ?
The LSD come standard with PASM. Without PASM is a option.
Forget the price. Lets say that i'm looking for a fast rwd that can be DD and still be able to provide some fun at the tracks. GT3 is made for track and the DD not so great. The GT2 is the same but 125% more expensive.

A 997.2 w/ X51, PDK, and SPASM/LSD will be a formidable package albeit at a high price. However, this configuration does not have the disadvantage (for some) of the wing, allowing a far more discrete DD. The PDK loses nothing to the 6sp in objective performance (involvement remains a subjective parameter), but provides DD versatility. The SPASM/LSD offers a real world compromise of drivability and trackworthiness. A set of Cup tires for the track w/ some lightweight wheels would complete the track day package. All you need is money and the self-confidence to beat to a different drum.
What is the ride quality of a current GT3 versus a PASM 997S with Damptronics (set to 'soft' for the sake of argument)? My impression (but have not driven a current GT3) is that they are roughly equivalent. Is that so? (Trying to make the point about just going with a GT3 as a DD, because few cite that the Damptronics car is unsuitable for DD use).
I already have a turbo. It is incredible fast, superb handling (specialy with my mods) and it is fast in the track, but a C2 is more fun to drive.
The 2010 GT3 would still be a better choice imo, unless one is concerned with the lower ride height and/or lack of rear seats. The GT3 (at least the .1 and the .2 is reportedly a little better), imo, doesn't ride that much stiffer than the C2S w/SPASM. Of course, if one wants a more discreet ride, sans wing, etc... and less noise a C2S X51 may be the way to go. Unfortunately, the X51 will bring a poor residual compared with a GT3.
On the topic of CUP tires, I am curious if Porsche approves these for the C2's. I don't think that they did for the .1 Carreras; oil starvation without a dry sump was the issue.

The 997.2 PDK make 0-62 in 4.4s and has a top speed of 188. I was wondering if that number can be improved by combining other porsche options like X51 and PASM/LSD. I searched and didn't found what would be the performance numbers for that combo. Can someone figure it out?
The performance figures for the 997.2 X51 are:
0-100Kph 4,2sec (0,2sec faster )
0-160Kph 9,2sec (0,1sec faster)
0,4sec faster from 80-120Kph
Top Speed 305Kph (5Kph faster)
I´m sure from 5500 rpm up, the dif must be obvious.
With LSD maybe some thens can be shaved, my car has LSD and it has ridiculous traction.
Anyway, I´ve seen two months ago a 997.2 S PDK without power kit making 4,2sec to 100Kph in a magazine.

Did not know that we can order wide body with a C2S. Is this available for ROW and not US?

Will somebody kindly advise how the x51 for 997.2 may be purchased separate for retrofit? A couple weeks ago I called my local dealer and Suncoast and neither had an idea what I was talking about.
My thought is to combine an aftermarket headers-back exhaust with Porsche's x51 intake pieces. I think others might entertain this idea as well. Hint to a vendor willing to take 10 minutes to research this, and post an offer to supply and private quote!
