Adjusting the hood

The hood on my 911 C4S Cabrio lies noticeably below the line of the front bumper, yet around the rest of the body it's fine. Any ideas how to go about adjusting the latch upwards to bring the hood into line with the bumper?

Before you adjust it, it seems that this is the case for most of the 997s. I'm not sure if its by design, but the front of the hood sits about 1/8 - 1/4 inch below the front bumper.

I noticed the same thing when I pick up my new 997.2 C2S. Then I decided to check all the new invertories in the dealer to see if mine is a problem. I found out every 997 there is the same, the end of hood is lower than the bumper. Consequently, I did not ask dealer to adjust it.

I believe it is this way by design and that you may, at least, hear unwanted airflow noises if you change it and maybe more, who knows!

Mine is like that since day one.

I looked at a couple in the showroom last week and they didn't seem as bad. I'll leave it for now and look at some more.

+1 on cybergypsy's comments on this issue. I believe this is the exact reason for the slightly lower hood position relative to bumper. You may be able to raise the hood slightly with the rubber bump stops at either end of the front of the hood.
