c4 vs c4s
#2
Hi, Sparks. Don't have any direct experience with either of the three cars you mention, but thought I'd pass along the below links that will give you the documented differences between the three (accuracy subject to validation by actual owners).
I don't know that 2009 Turbo Specs are out yet, so I included the link to 2008.
Bottom line:
- Appears Turbo, 4 and 4S are all the same width
- Turbo slightly longer and heavier than 4S
- 4S slightly heavier than 4
- 4S has more hp and torque than 4
- 4S has PASM std, 4 does not
- I believe the brake/rotor size are larger in the 4S than the 4
More information at the Official from Porsche:

The Turbo and C4S both share a widebody, the C2S uses a narrowbody. The C4S differs from the C4 in that the S adds a bigger engine, bigger brakes, and a few options as standard. You will be hard pressed to find a non-S as most people spring for the S version of this car. All cars should be equally as long. The C4S and C2S are also equally as fast in straight line performance (despite what you might feel) with a slight advantage to the C4S in difficult conditions.
Everyone will tell you something different as to which they like the most, but unless you are a serious world class driver (and even then), you're unlikely to be able to tell any performance difference between the two. I personally went to the C4S. I like the security of the AWD and the looks of the widebody. If you never expect to see snow or rain and drive it strictly on clean smooth tarmac, go for the C2/s, but if you plan on actually using the car, I think the C4/s is the way to go. You add around 100lbs total due to the AWD system, lose maybe 5% of steering feedback (which can be a good thing at times on the street), retain all performance figures, and have all the benefits that go along with an AWD system.

I love my c4s, especially when it comes to turns, as well as the extra hp.... it really comes in handy when needed..... but the c2s would be my next pick if i had to pick the top 2 on your list.....c4 is cool, but you need those extra horsepower in the S
