My C2S is now an award-winning C2S
COngrats fellow award winner!!
Hey man, congrats on your award!! I entered our local concours a few weeks ago at Schneider+Nelsen, won third place in my class out of about 10. Of course, if The Detail Doctor had cleaned my car the day before like they usually do, instead of the bunk car wash I took it to, I would have taken at LEAST second.
Anyway, car looks good, congrats. My trophy was MUCH smaller than yours..haha!

I'm not trying to take anything away from your award, but I don't understand a concours type event for cars that aren't at least 5-10 years old. It always puzzles me when I see a brand new car get a trophy. It's a brand new car. Of course it's in perfect condition and still clean
Bah, HUMBUG
Listen, Debbie downer, awards are about pride, and even though a new car should be clean (which isn't always the case), events like these concours', for people who aren't into older cars, are designed for owners to showcase their pride in their automobile...I understand what you mean because "technically" the concours is for older vehicles, at least the more established ones like Pebble Beach, but if you notice there are always some newer, one-off, or custom cars displayed there too. have a nice day!

If a car is fresh off the showroom floor, other than washing it, there really isn't much effort on the part of the owner to making the car look good. It's new, it already looks good. There's no rust, the paint is fresh, the plastic isn't faded, the interior is pristine, etc...
Again, I'm not trying to take anything away the poster. However, I don't think a new car can be a concours car. If that was the case, the dealer would have a lot full of concours cars

There are "show cars" and "concours cars". IMO, anything less than 10 years old is a show car.
You are correct, Dep Dog. Concours' are for historic vehicles. This event also had one class that was open to any and all cars. It was called "wash and shine". Any of the cars that were on hand that day could have entered. All the other divisions were historic. My car was the only late model car that received a trophy that day.
