997S vs C4S

I am in the market for a 911 and I stopped by the local Porsche Dealer and they had an 04 Black C4S next to a black 997S and I like the C4S better. What are the performance and spec differences. Also, are there any former C4S owners who are proud new 997S owners i would love your feedback! thanks

well, consider the fact that the C4S is the slowest 911 available from Porsche right now and the 997S is the fastest (excluding GT models and turbo). IMHO it's a no brainer, 997S all the way.

The C4s cab is the slowest. The C4S cpe is faster on the 'ring' than any c2. However, the 997cs is faster.
The 997s is all new, bigger engine, rwd,355hp,more$$.
The 996 C4S is the last of the 996 line, awd, sport suspension, turbo brakes, etc. What it lacks in engine(3.6L 325hp) it makes up for in other ways, esp $$. It's all subjective, the 997s is new with a full warranty and all the first yr problems to come. The 996 C4S(I assume new also) has all the bugs worked out, has a warranty. If you like the C4S better, get it.
I personally would not trade my C4S for a 997s, not enough of a step up. A 997TT is a different story! JMO

I did not mention it but I replaced my lightly modded 02 Z06 with an 03 E55 that I think is the best car that I have ever owned . However, I miss having a sports car. I'am also worried that either car will not satisfy "the never ending need for speed"

Yes, I have considered the turbo because I think the used turbo market currently represents a great value but i have trouble not owning "the lastest and greatest" . You guys know how that is!

I have owned 3 corvettes and my wife wants a porsche otherwise i would be the first one on the list for an 06 ZO6. I Guess the 997 turbo will be the ONLY purchase i dont second guess.

Thanks for listening to me ramble.
