2006 997 Rims = Twists?
2006 997 Rims = Twists?
I'm normally a lurker in the 996 forum, but I came across a local ad and wasn't sure if I was looking at the right item.
Did the 997's come with what amount to Twists? I thought that they were strictly a 993 or 996 rim.
If so, does anyone know the offset on the rims? I'm not sure if these are replicas, however the seller stated that they are off a 2006 997.
Any help is appreciated Thanks!

Those were never a factory option on a new 997. These were probably the guys set of winter wheels which he bought afterwards as you can see winter tires on that set. Check the inside of the wheel to see if they are oem. You'll see 996 xxx xxx part numbers if they are oem. Offsets are written on the inside also if oem. Regardless if they are off a wb or nb 997 they will fit a widebody 996. Just make sure they are 18x10 on the rear at least.

from your sig I see you have a 2001 Carrera 4. I assume that's a narrow-body car since the C4S didn't come out until 2002 anyway (if my memory serves me correct). Those wheels came off of either a 996 C4S or a 996 turbo, and they may or may not fit - I'm not sure - because they might have offsets that are too aggressive. I'm sure you can do a search and find someone that put C4S wheels on a narrow-body 996. Good luck.
You can do a product search on Tire Rack's site for wheels and when you click for details on a particular wheel it will tell you what the offset is. Also when I found a set of SSR wheels for my Audi knowing that Tire Rack carried those wheels at the time I called Luke and got his input to make sure the wheels would fit the car and clear my BBK. He was very helpful. I suggest you give him a call and get his input relative to offsets stock and aftermarket and what may or may not fit the car.
Thank you for the replies everyone. Just waiting for the seller to contact me back.
They look like they're OEM (the offset number is next to the valve stem).
I've already bought OEM rims that didn't fit, will make sure they do this time.
