Shifter noise located

I located a noise in the shifter. The noise is coming from the front of the shifter boot where leather and plastic meet. Does anyone know how to silence it?

A little bit of foam tape will do the trick. The dealer knows how to do this if you want them to, and if you've got warrantee they won't charge you a dime.

The noise is a rattle sound. I first thought it was the chrono but now pretty sure its the shifter area.

Not sure it is the same but in my case where the pdk handle base cover meets the mount there is now a constant buzz at medium and higher speeds. If I press down on the bottom of the shifter base plastic piece I can eliminate the buzz. Since the shifter base slides forward and backward I am not sure how to eliminate this noise...almost like I need a gap increase between the slide and the mount.

Noise is now gone. Adjustment of the holding clips and tighting of the screws for shifter area helped out.

I had the same problem. Brought it in and they placed some felt tape underneath the PDK cover 'disc' and: no more noise. It seemed like it was simply the two plastic pieces rubbing together at once I hit mid/high revs.

Taken care of as warranty item.
