leaking coolant at a 06 C4

I have a 06 carrera 4 since June, and recently I have noticed my coolant level has drifted down. Does it happen often? I will bring it back to the dealer since it still under warranty. I have done 2 DE events, would it have anything to do with the leak? Thanks.

Happens so often I'm surprised it's just now happening on your car. Problem is very common on all the water cooled models. Could be the cap or the tank ( most common causes ) of a bad connection at one of the hoses (not as common ). In the early models there was also an issue with the pressure relief valve on the top of the tank but have not heard much about that on the later on "7" models. You'll need to take it to the dealer and have them pressure check the system. Be prepared for more than one visit though as my experience with both my Boxster and now my 997 is that they don't get it right on the first try. For the life of me I don't understand why after 10 years Porsche can not correct this issue. It ain't brain surgery. Leave it to Porsche engineers to over think a problem to the point that their solution is less effective than an off the shelf solution.

I had a coolant leak issue on a 2006 2S with 37000 miles. It turned out ot be a hose clamp with a slight leak. Located visually. There must be a coolant level sensor in the car because it came up on the PCM.
