Throttle response 997.1S Sport Chrono vs EVOMSit

Fellas,

Just had a quick question- currently considering the EVOMSit ECU upgrade. How does the throttle response and "fun-to-drive" factor with Sport Chrono compare to the EVOMSit software? Does the EVOMSit upgrade feel just like having the "Sport" button on all the time or is it more/better than that?

Thanks-

Ive been looking intothe Evomsit Software and actually getting it installed next Monday. Taking advantage of the 20% Evoms is running for the month of Dec. Found a dealer close to me thats a Authorized dealer.

The 2 leaders in software upgrade I believe is Softronic which ive read about and is a great product from what I read and ppl tell me and Evomsit.

Softronic flashes the OBD port Evomsit the ECU itself. Talking with a member who had had both told me that the Evoms was better. Im not knocking Softronic and wouldnt know becuz ive had neither. But basically from either of these programs you will get performance not just throttle response like Sport Mode. Your car will come alive. I dont about you but my S is sluggish, the software will make the car Rev free and pull harder through all gears. I will update you and others when I get it installed next Monday. Also im doing a little test as far as before the ECU Tune and after to help anyone wanting to do the Tunes. Phase one of before the tune is done just have to wait til next week now for the after

Thanks!

Thanks for the info- agree that the car feels sluggish off the line without sport chrono. If installing the EVOMSit upgrade leads to a more responsive, visceral ride than having the factory sport chrono- agree that it is clearly worthwhile. However, will this cause a problem with the factory warranty?

Thats my biggest thing with a stock 997S. The throttle response and it just doesnt pull freely enough. Not saying the car is slow by no means, just some breathing issues. Which is well known.

A ECU tune will give you better peformance in Non Sport and even more peformance in Sport Mode.

Softronic is they give you two files you have to keep. Your OEM one so you can revert back to stock if you have to go to the dealer. And your tuned file.

Evoms from what ive been told and read, the dealer cant tell if the ECU is flashed UNLESS they are looking for it specifically. And if they update your ECU with updates the Evoms flash can get overwritten. But Evoms will install the flash again for you since they too also have your Stock and Tuned Files on their database.

Like I said im going to do Evoms, but again I believe Softronic is a good Flash as well. Also remember Warrany is misunderstood. If you flash your car and your clutch goes or windows dont work, your warranty for those parts are still intacted they need to prove that a mod caused the problem and then they can claim not to cover the issue. Alot of dealership actually are flashing in their facilitys I believe so its not really a issue I believe Softronic and Evoms are great products and RARELY ever have problems.
