CD Changer in C4S? Audible books?
CD Changer in C4S? Audible books?
Does the 6 disc CD/DVD changer take up too much of the room in the the trunk of a C4 or C4S?
I like listening to audiobooks while I drive and I have a 6 disc CD/DVD player in my current car. I have heard that in the C4/C4S the CD/DVD changer mechanism is mounted on the back wall of the trunk -- which is already smaller than on a C2 because of the front differential. Is this true? If so, how much does it cut into the usability of the trunk?
A related question is whether using Audible books on a iPod or iPhone is a satisfactory substitute for CD audiobooks.
Thanks in advance.

I do Audiobooks all the time on my ipod. Great convenience and easy to use. I have an '08 C2S, Bose with the Dennison unit. The titles display on the PCM and moving around is pretty easy. Good luck and good listening. Just finished The Lost Symbol -- Great listen!!
I have a C4S and the CD changes takes up a significant amount of the trunk (Significant considering how small it is to begin with). Being able to download audio book on an ipod is a big plus versus having to buy the CD, however many people take the books out from the library so the changer may be necesary. If you burn your own books you could put them in MP3 format and the entire book on a sigle CD, so no need for a changer.
