997 Cab order guides....
997 Cab order guides....
Unfreaking believable...actually very believable.
Porsche puts out the order guide for the 997/997S Cab....options include SUNROOF.

Still can't build one on the website. Figures.

I missed that in the order guide I got.
What is interesting is they are now charging for the cab hardtop as an option, instead of it being a delete option with a credit, as for the 996.
The price difference for a cab (vs. coupe) is $9,800 which is the same as last year. So far so good--but last year, the hard top came standard, and there was a $1,465 credit for hard top delete. With the 997, no hard top standard, and they charge $2,345 for the optional hardtop. So price differential for cab increased $2,345 with hardtop, and $1,465 without hardtop. Very tricky, Porsche!!

If you did not order the hardtop on the 996, you did not get the receptacles in place to accept a hardtop later. Perhaps including that hardware, it would have been another $100-$200. But yes, when it comes to pricing, Porsche beats 'em all.
